Hello Hello!!!,

Easter update! :) I hope everyone is embracing the holiday and will be enjoying some delectable cadbury, nestle', whittakers, lindt bunnies and or eggies over the next few days! Generally the game goes- eat the entire rabbit. Is always a butter chicken moment- feels like such a good idea-but the after math- potentially fatal.
So I hope moderation is intitiated:) NOT! hehe. gosh- sometimes I am 5.

On that note- I actually did buy a kite the other day, that I am still yet to fly, its sitting in my boot collecting dust, ironically I brought it on the 1 windless day in Wellington City- it has an eagle on it, so for $8 I couldn't not!!!

My friend had her baby shower today- that was fun:D why is everything so much cuter in minature!!! socks, shoes, t'shirts, onesies! Gah- I need to steal a small person to dress, maybe pretend to be a pagent mum for a week or so.

COOOKIESSS!!: For the baby shower- I made some cookies- the recipe is a basic edmonds chocolate chip cookie recipe- then mix in 1/2 pkt of oreos- dark cooking chocolate, some white chocolate buttons- all cut up- and macadamia nuts. not going to blow my own trumpet- but lordy I'd go another round!!:) Some one had posted a recipe where they put an actual whole oreo sandwiched inside cookie dough then baked- so that was a wee twist on that since I ran out of oreos, and didn't want to die from cookie on cookie action :)

I saw the hunger games the other week! The hair/makeup was ghastly, was weird- megatu meets steampunk/ the worst of the 90's, I don't know how I feel about it, other than that it was ammazing- 1/2 way through the 1st book- the concept is quite a thrilling read- I recommend!! Also really want to see mirror mirror, the exotic hotel one- and snow white and the huntsman which should be out later this year!excite!!

FEJOIAS! are back in season-- only my most favouritest fruit in the whole wide world!!! AND I've discovered the best fruit and vege shop in the WORLD aswell! it's next to petes emporium (also another favo shop) in porirua- and everthing is SO CHEAP! it's ammazing, this is where I get my vege and fejoias from- would well recommend.

Petes Emporium- if you haven't made the trip out there yet- YOU are MISSING OUT!!! it's my fav!!! Millions of wigs- all super cheap- it's kind of like the warehouse- but with fabric- hardware, stationary, and costumes, and anything else crafty you may want:) it's my dreamland- SO over spotlight- but actually in saying that- I did go to spotlight the other day to buy a pattern (Yes I know, I was being lazy and couldn't be bothered pattern making) but the girl was super nice!!(for spotlight this is a first) It's ammazing how one person can just make your day that much better with a smile:) They usually all have a face like a dropped pie.

One of my good friends is coming up from Dunedin next friday, she's been living in Japan/taiwan for ages so haven't seen her in faarrrr too long- she's coming up for my friends hens night on saturday- 50's desperate house wives themed, so I can't wait!!!:) yeas they'll be a penis cake. But on friday night we're going to have a slumber party just like when we were little! I can not wait to see miss Emily Gray.

Puppies are good- Vada E've is 6 months now- she's really big and lovely:) Growing into a big soft teddy bear and Mr Savaloy is a great wee guy too- they are besties:)

The mimco shoot- I came 10th- I didn't get into the top 5 which I was abit upset about, but I really appreciate the support from the lovely people who voted!! I would have loved to be in the running. but there were a few late entries who somehow managed to get in the 3000's with the votes, so I couldn't keep up! Also somehow 50+ of my votes vanished into thin air- and they apparently couldn't do anything about it, so think it's abit rigged. But never the less:) everything happens for a reason =hopefully something else will come along!!

Freelancing still- weddings are winding down abit now, so taking on a few clients per week for cuts/ colours/mens cuts/hair ups the whole sherbang!!:) So if anyone needs something done- please get in touch! Saving for the trip to Hong Kong which is coming up soon! Still in the saving mode:) Can't wait to have some fun in disneyland with Katie cross in our 5 star hotel!!!:D exciting!

Blenhiem in May for my friends wedding- hence the hens night, I've never been down there so can't wait to see the beautiful place:) and my beautiful friend walking down the isle with mr right:) yipeeee.

PLUS: yes- sewing- getting back into that- haven't sewn in far too long, which is very naughty of me- so I'm making a blue pattern velvet dress -50's style that's my next project, :) shall post pictures ones its all in one piece!:D

UK magazine -Defuze, asked us to submit some shots for their latest edition- edition 3! Check out the magazine on the above link- we're towards the end:) 4 page spread- tomorrow when the 'war begun' with Phyo Thu- and the lovely O'hagan sisters!
Well also be submitting some work for the 4th edition and hopefully many more after as a monthly edition- should be out towards the end of april! fun:) We did a blade runner inspired shoot on sunday last week- with model emma slee, and phyo, and I had fun taking a few shots myself- to give me something to do- quite enjoying the old photoshop lately! it is fun:)

Congrats to the lovely Jen Maxwell and Claar for making the model cut for Wellington Fashion week, I have quite a few friends who are making things work for this event so pop along to some shows! It's coming up very soon- 18th-22nd of april:)

i'm BACK!

HEY: SO literally has been 2 years since I've blogged', so thought I'd sort that out whilst I have abit of time on my hands.
2 years- well what have I done in 2 years.... I'm a fully qualified hairdresser now.-yay. that was a long exhaughsting exercise which I'm glad I'm on the other end of:) finished studying in November -7 years of hair/fashion without much income has been a test- but am working for myself now, freelancing and even though I'm still abit poorpus I feel like I'm living the dream!- My dream is to be a stylist- and love life- so I'm pursuing abit more styling work- and doing makeup/hair aswell which is fun:) And life is good:) Climbed a mountian yesterday=well jst mt Kaukau which is kind of a walking track- but it's something I've never done:) Have a new puppy- she's a 6 month old siberian husky called Vada E've and she's awsme:) full of beans! Mr Savaloy mr schipperke is awsme aswell:) mr busy!

What else- Lots of weddings at the moment- starting to wind down- has been 2-4+most weekends since November which has been awsme:) SO thinking of my next venture!!
Will be heading to HongKong in a few months! I'm excited about that:) Have been to Malaysia, and the US and Auz but can't wait to travel abit more!!! Haven't really had a holiday since I started studying so I think a well deserved 5star break is going to be just the ticket!

The Thomas oliver's album release- 24th March at Bodega- that will be awsme! Those boys are busting out some good things!!!

Lydia Cole's just release her album too- it's ammazing so proud of her!!

The black seeds videoclip I worked on doing styling etc last month will be out in April-ish all going to plan so can't wait to see that!

Had an exciting shoot with photographer David James, Lauren Spring from Clyne and Tannia Lee from Most Wanted Vintage in Masterton/Gladstone a few weeks back- which will be released in the 3rd edition of Print Magazine in August!! Exciting:) styled/hair and makeup/concept. FUN!

Last week I did the hair and makeup for the Vectra Opera-vintage styled campaign posters shot at the Morrins in Thorndon- ammazing old house! Shot by Louise Hatton:)

Remix magazine shoot should be out this month actually- I did a 6 page spread- hair for a superhero inspired shoot- shot by Lou Hatton:) Can't wait to see!!!

Also shot for Cake magazine -with Lou Hatton, and Emma from Red11 and Anna White styled the shoot- I did hair and makeup- that should be out soon aswell!! YAY!

Been doing a few shoots with the lovely Phyo aswell- so that's been fun! Trying my hand in abit more photoshop aswell which has been good, keeping me out of trouble:)

I'll be 25 in 2 days! Yikes. hehe getting old - I feel like I'm starting to really get into life which is good:) Feel like I've missed out on lots of stuff being so super career focused straight out of highschool- don't get me wrong I prbly wouldn't change a thing- I love what I do- just feel like I'm ready for that plus something more now, feel like maybe life is passing me by!
1/4 life crisis who knows- but yeap priotiries are changing. Must be growing up!!! hehe

anyhoo- i must sleep now, I supose I will try to blog again sometime soon:) Hopefully not leave it for 2 years again:)

BUSY!!!

So ....

I've been out of the blogging loop for faaar too long!! It's a sunday morning/ and i'm ready for a good vent. so here goes it.

I actually came on here to get my secret chocolate brownie recipe! Pretty stoked I actually blogged up a storm with that one- someone rummaged through my recipe draw and somehow that recipe seems to have disappeared... WHAA?! Sunday afternoon brownie treats -why today?! WHy NOW!!! but yes- stoked it was on here, I can rest in peace. has anyone tried it yet?? It's pretty much the most amazing thing in the whole wide world actually also. mhmm.

going to get my bake on whilst watching stick it, and reruns of coro.

So it's been aaaages! Whats been happening with mwa?

I got another dog he's freaken awesome! He's a black schipperke (google it they're KEEY-Ute!)

He's called Savi, pretty much amazing. TOo cute for words like a little black woolf:D heart.

Got a sweet pimping new chopper- photo above, Was meant to go out this wkend on it, but it's Freakn raining- so abort mission- hopefully soon tho haven't taken the phantom for a spin yet.

All in good time.

What else... I did hair /makeup/ wardrobe for a filmy thing- all top secret but will post that up next week when I'm officially aloud to talk about it!! Just watched a rough edit- i have a feeling it will blow your face off!

So yeap been working heaps- keeping buso.

Will be working for the wow awards under Michele Perry, doing hair and fun makeup and hopefully learning air brushing think that's in september/october! Fun Fun FUn! yeowsa.!

Learnt how to do woolen dread extensions the other day- that was quite fun, braiding and things- learning heaps!!!

It's super foggy outside whaa?! cold, cold,cold! yeah been abit fluish lately, not ideal- reckon everyones been abit out of the weather lately! not the go.

GOing to see glee the musical next month- pretty excited about that!! Yipeeee.

Kara Clam Lok said there was something on stuff the otherday- about a guy getting pulled over for speeding- and there was a cat (alive_) maranading in sauce and spices and stuff in the boot of his car?!! WHAT THE FARK!!! that is SO sick, makes me reeeally outraged to think ppl in nz are that fucked up. who would think that that was a reasonable senario?! who would want to eat a cat for crying out loud!! but yep anyhoo the cat was alive- and has now been rehomed.

insane thought- poor kitty lucky they found it in time- but jst on that note- this was 1 RANDOM guy- pulled over for speeding- usually wouldn't check the boot of the car in tht routine check- who else is doing shit like this?!! Hopefully noone- but gaa makes you think, ppl who are cruel to animals should be shot . makes me vom.

O yeah! I made a clip in weave the other day:D Real hair- custom dyed that badboy:D she's a beaut. can make them up and custom dye them at my work aswell, super fun! coz you can curl /wash/straighten them the whole 9 yards.

Learning chemical straightening on Tuesday, quite looking foward to that! get abit of training in that mhmm.

CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE!!!

Holy moley- so you kids have got to try this- and especially if you don't cook- or have much time on your hands- best sneaky treat ever....

take advantage-

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour

4 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa

1 egg

3 tablespoons milk

3 tablespoons oil

3 tablespoons chocolate chips

(optional) a small splash of vanilla extract

1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.

Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.

Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.

The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous). And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Jeff Buckley

Waking up with Jeff Buckley this morning, was not only a mezmorizing experience- but a truley inspirational one. His voice is like a combination of Pink Floyd and being in bed listening to the rain. It melts in your ears, like nothing I've experienced before. Listening to such powerful melodic hooks, after having being subdued to radio takes for so long, I feel like a piece of my soul has been given back to me. He's a one off ledgend, and truley there was and never will be anyone like him, from his music to mind- the way he conveyed his ideas about life, and living- were far beyond his years. The way he spoke was so deep and true.
I watched his 15th anniversary of GRACE dvd this morning and fell in love. Thanks Jeff- Your music will live on forever-rest in peace.

So I got my 1st library card yesterday! Somehow managed to be a tin bum and score a copy of twilight- what a page turner!!! I've already read 3 chapters- (i'm a super slow reader) But I can't put it down!!! Also got out 8 mega sweet cds- to update the ipod, ups to the Johnsonville Library for having Wilco and the Dave matthews band cds, about time I got rid of meatloaf and all the other crap my sister put on for me- sorry sis, but Rob Zombie was getting under my skin somewhat. Wasn't ideal driving music-was getting abit ragey.
Speaking of which rage against the machine isn't actually great for parallel parking- or concerntrating. !

Been abit sick over the weekend so I'm at home today, soooo cold!!! I'm going to rug up and watch tyra and read twilight- got to be done!! Made some sweet healthy muffins yesterday- should put the recipe up really it's a fav of mine- apple and boysenberry w musli sounds not that amazing- but lordy they are great news!!!

Quite keen to do a few more photoshoots- only doing 4 days a week at work at the moment, so have abit of time up my sleeve! Quite keen to do a jeff buckley inspired shoot after this am's episode!!

Mmm what to have for breaky... Still pretty into my corn on toast- thinking yes.
